Culturally Responsive and Inclusive Programs

We engage children in culturally responsive educational experiences which build young children’s self-confidence and skills while increasing children’s awareness, appreciation, and inclusion of diverse beliefs and cultures. We strive to expand children’s awareness of difference through social events, books, songs, and play materials. We continually encourage children to recognize and appreciate people for the things that make them unique and special.

Educational Philosophy or Approach

Our special reading program helps your child to develop the reading and comprehension skills they need to SUCCEED as early as four years old. After the child becomes familiar with the sounds and letters of the alphabet, we slowly but surely integrate them into our special reading program. Here, they will learn to combine two to three vowel and consonant sounds at a time to create words. This unique approach to language learning helps children to gain an enhanced vocabulary by the age of three. By age four, you can expect your child to be able to write answers to questions based on the stories they read. At the Little Explorer Montessori Preschool, we are proud to reveal that our pre-school graduates have better reading skills than the average first-grader.

Our math curriculum is designed to help children to develop the skills needed to excel in the Kindergarten classroom and beyond. Your child will also be able to explore the wonders of science through simple-yet-effective experiments designed to help pre-school students learn about and make sense of the natural world around them.

In addition to these valuable skills, toddlers and preschool children will also have access to unique and exciting arts-and-craft projects which will allow them to explore their creative side, develop their painting finesse and gain productive aptitude.
