Educational Philosophy or Approach

At Learning Days we provide a positive learning environment for each child. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress and developmental growth at any time. We are looking forward to getting to know you and your child. We strive to provide a rich learning environment where all of our children develop to their full potential. Partnering with families is important to us. We welcome family input and ideas to improve our program or services. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to speak with us.

Learning Days welcomes all children including children regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, national origin, disability, ancestry, or sexual orientation, and children with disabilities, we will work with each child to the best of their abilities with a commitment to providing quality care and education. Our curriculum (The Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care) consists of all domains of child development; physical, language, and cognitive. It is relevant, meaningful, and based on prior experiences allowing the children to make connections. Our curriculum is designed to focus on each individual child’s own strengths and weaknesses. This encourages children to become eager learners. The activities we plan for the children, the way we organize the environment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk with the children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of the curriculum and give your child a successful start in school. Good manners as well as being polite, considerate, and helpful are manners that are molded by caregivers and teachers. We believe that every child is unique and value each and every one of them. Our goal is to work as a partnership with families to make their child’s early years the best they can be.

Our weekly lesson plans are age-appropriate and include the developmental areas of science, math, art, language (Such as English, Spanish, and Farsi), literacy, writing, large and small muscle development, music, cooking, and morning routine. In addition to preparing your child for kindergarten.

All staff must pass a criminal history check before they hire at Learning Days. I also check all of their personal & work-related references.

All staffs are 1st aid & CPR trained, Food handlers, Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect and take at least 24 hours training per year specializing in the child care and education of children.
